Who won at the Radio1 teen awards
The radio 1 teen awards took place on the 24th November 2019. It was the 10th year celebrating music and movies and featured some great live performances from artists including: YUNGBLUD, AJ Tracey and Jax Jones.
Receiving awards were: Teen Heroes - Hazel, Rachel and Scarlet. These awards were given for inspirational bravery and unconditional care. These teenagers haven't forgotten values while overcoming difficulties. At Kensington palace earlier this year, the contestants met Camilla Cabello and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Volcano in New Zealand Erupts
The White Island Volcano erupted early in the morning on the 9th December 2019. 6 people have been reported dead and 8 people missing along with 25 hospitalized with serious burns. The country's most active volcano it has over 10,000 visits each year. White island, also known as Whakaari in Maori, is a popular tourist destination. on the 3rd of December 6 day before disaster struck a geological hazard monitoring website GeoNet warned " The volcano may be entering a period where eruptive activity is more likely than normal". the network then added " The current level of activity does not pose a direct hazard to visitors". Although 70% of the volcano is underwater the New Zealand Defense Force is struggling with the rescue operation due to falling ash. However the police has revealed fewer than 50 people were on the island when the volcano erupted.
